a family.
Not a startup. Not a corporation. A family from Plovdiv, solving a problem they live every single day.
Sean is from Scotland. I'm from Bulgaria, but I lived in Germany for 15 years. We chose Bulgaria as the place to build our family. We have two boys — Flynn (5) and Jamie (2) — and our daughter is about to join us.
Flynn is diagnosed with autism and until recently didn't use words. Every day we work with different therapists, track diet, supplements, sleep, meltdowns. We try to understand what helps. Like every family in this situation — the data was everywhere. Notebooks, spreadsheets, WhatsApp, Viber messages, and most of all — in my head.
One evening we said to each other: "We're both from the software world. Why don't we build the tool we wish existed?"
That's how Alora was born. Not for investors. Not for market share. For Flynn. And for every family like ours.
